I first recognized this bird at a wedding in Tucson in spring 2008. I've seen them a bunch of times since, including occasionally in my back yard.

I'm a transplant from north of the Adirondacks in New York to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. This blog is a record of the birds I've seen here and in my travels. It's turned into a pretty good catalog of the birds you can expect to see in Arizona. None of the photos are mine, but I've tried to pick images that best represent these birds in my mind.
