A picture of the female because she looks so different from the male. When I first moved here, I thought it was a different bird altogether.

I'm a transplant from north of the Adirondacks in New York to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. This blog is a record of the birds I've seen here and in my travels. It's turned into a pretty good catalog of the birds you can expect to see in Arizona. None of the photos are mine, but I've tried to pick images that best represent these birds in my mind.
