Seen at different times of year at Tortilla Flat and the DBG. Pretty easy to recognize with that yellow eye and curved bill.

I'm a transplant from north of the Adirondacks in New York to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. This blog is a record of the birds I've seen here and in my travels. It's turned into a pretty good catalog of the birds you can expect to see in Arizona. None of the photos are mine, but I've tried to pick images that best represent these birds in my mind.
Saw one here on campus Tuesday. He was hiding in the bushes right next to the SHESC building, hopping further out of sight with every step I took.
